When the pandemic hit, many small businesses didn’t know what to do. Illinois banks, just like so many others around the country, stepped up. By providing loans and mortgages, as well as other financial and business support, banks around the state helped small businesses and nonprofits continue to operate and serve their communities. Warm the Soles - Wasatch Peaks Credit Union
As part of the Warm the Soles initiative, Wasatch Peaks Credit Union has partnered with Nike to give away thousands of shoes to impoverished local elementary kids every Christmas season. For many of these kids, these shoes are the only Christmas present they’ll get. Donations for this initiative come from a variety of sources, including Wasatch Peaks employees, the board of directors, community volunteers, and credit union members. Watch the video to learn more!

D.L. Evans Bank is an Idaho-based bank that gives a lot to its community. This first video of the Kadince Cares series highlights the story of Denise, a beneficiary of services from the YCC Family Crisis Center. The YCC is a recipient of financial support from D.L. Kids Who Count - Utah Bankers Association
Banks are a crucial part of each community. This became very evident for many nonprofits during COVID-19 when they went to apply for PPP loans. Thanks to the Utah Bankers Association and the many banks in Utah, these nonprofits were able to get the support they needed. One such nonprofit, Kids Who Count, is highlighted in this video. Kids Who Count and the families they support have been forever impacted by the amazing bankers who worked so hard to continue the lifelong impact Kids Who Count has on children, families, and communities.
